I didn't watch it because I never watch these award show type things, but I watched a couple clips. I was happy to see Zelda win GOTY, mostly just because Eiji Aonuma's reaction was so great. And then I saw that clip that Jim Sterling posted.

As I understand, the problem with Andromeda is more about it being a "just ok" game than an awful one? Except for the criticizing of the facial animation, I haven't seen any reviews dissing the gameplay itself - neither praising it. It seems to be in the same spot as Mirror's Edge Catalyst, to compare with other recent EA game: these are their forgotten 6/10 games. Some of their Dragon Age games also go here.

It isn't that bad. It would be a good start point for something new. Considering the development hell it went through, it could have been much worse. |

People hate the open world elements and the combat gets boring quickly due to it always being out in the open instead of a designed battleground such as a room or a corridor. |

Here's a thing. You say Andromeda is shit, and it's fine; but if you say "Androme is shit" followed by "Wolfenstein II looks good" it's kinda hard to take it seriously. There's a phenomenon called video reviews where people show you bits and pieces of a game online while discussing why it's a good or bad game. You should check it out, it helps you to stop buying bad games. |

The announcements this month rock, Mega Man X Collection, Mega Man 11, the 30th Anniversary Street Fighter Collection, plus all the new characters for V like Blanka and Sagat, not to mention SoulCalibur VI, Bayonetta 3, and a new Tenchu from From Software. Man, better than E3. And to please Cervantes at this point all we need is a brand new Sonic Mega Collection Plus. I do also want to play classic Sonic games with my DS4 as well. Those games already play excellent on my arcade cabinet and I'm really enjoying them again. |
