He was the only who fit the profile. Most people with around 10 posts hadn't logged in since 2016 or 2017. If stratogustav said they logged in recently, I guess he meant at least 2018. I guess you can't see the big picture. It's OK it's better that way, too many people handling too many people info is not a good thing. |

There's only about a dozen of us that still come here, a handful more at most who log in from time to time (like teddykongcountry ). Most of the rest haven't logged in since 2016. We are CGR only in name now. We're like the Voyager, silently drifting through cyberspace, sending back messages to Houston which will never arrive... Derek is not a registered user. Maybe he's been here as a guest, but I'd bet money he doesn't even know this forum exists. The pub is like soul food, best pick me up for a sad day. I'd love to participate more but work gets the better of me. I go through cycles of depression much of which is work and girl-related, although moreso work. I put up with my career just to make enough money to eventually pay back my parents for taking out school loans for me but my career is a daily draining experience. I wish I could do something with video or acting but at the end of the day, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing until I collapse or I get those bills paid off and doing the video work to keep me sane and feel purposeful :,) You're gone for long periods, but I always appreciate you coming back. You always have something interesting lined up, despite your snarky comments about this pub's supreme leader. |

Sorry I can't help you with that. The only reason I know he still logs in is because he appears within our daily visitors at the bottom of the page once in a while, but like many other users his contribution is less than 100 posts, not even 10 posts. Are we allowed to narrow it down? Like, has he ever made a post in, say, the Introductions thread? |

This is more common in our culture that people give it credit for. Derek is not alone in this, I always hear about situations like this all throughout the U.S. by people I know personally. It is certainly worrying, and I feel people are escaping through excessive eating, illegal drugs, prescription drugs, and alcohol. I hope our Derek can stay away from those things and don't fall victim of them.

dschult3 - Going by his twitter feed, he has his ups and downs, but seems to be managing it: he even moved and got a new job at a college as "digital content and marketing specialist". Also, he has been teasing a comeback to reviewing games as a side project, so I hope he has better times ahead of him.
