The Interceptor, plus or minus the dog.
This is seriously the coolest car in existence along with The Back to the Future DeLorean. I am trying to think of some others, but you just might be right.

There are many cool movie vehicles out there like Akira's motorcycle, the Captain America motorcycle from Easy Rider, the Ecto-1, the 60's Batmobile, the spinners from both Blade Runner movies among many others, but the Delorean and Interceptor V8 Pursuit Special are unbeatable.

I've been beating around the bush about getting a new car. Mainly because I have two options. UTE: I can take it out somewhere remote and do burnouts. If the tray is long enough, I can take it camping and sleep in the back of it. Can get a side gig doing deliveries. BUT it wouldn't be as spacious as a van. If it came iwth four seats, it would mean a smaller tray. VAN: Can convert it into a campervan OR into a food business van e.g. coffee, ice cream BUT would be a bit harder getting around suburbia than a regular car, since it's larger. I guess what I'm looking for is flexibility. What do you guys think? Hey Centipede, if you're in the market for a pick-up, then why not get a mirco truck? I personally have no need for a pick-up truck, but if I had to get one, I would choose one of these. The problem is that they are extremely uncommon in America, as they are illegal for auto companies to sell here, and importing one costs a fortune. But in the land down under you might have better luck finding one of these, right? I mean, Australia must have a broader range of subcompact, super mini, and micro/kei cars for sale that America does, right? I can't imagine any country's auto laws being more regressive than America's (we are the king of the hill in that regard). And if Australia never sold any of these, I imagine importing one would be nearly as expensive as it is in America, since Australia isn't that far away from Japan and Southeast Asia where these were sold. The fuel economy and emissions of kei trucks are a lot softer on the environment then that of an Ute, and their beds are usually 6' long (probably 6' 6'' with the tail flap down), so you could certainly sleep flat on the bed if you wanted to. And remember, if micro trucks aren't up your ally, you could always try to find a micro/kei van like the Daihatsu Hijet. There's lots of fun to be had in one of those! Roomy enough for six as well! A good bang for your buck, and easy on the environment, too. What do you think, Centipede?

A truck like that is not practical. It's built for loads, not speed and I'll only use its full potential if I was using it in a moving business.
I've decided on a ute, preferably at least 5 cylinders, with a tray at least my height. A van and that truck would not have the suspension I need for some rougher roads.

I actually rented a car similar to this one in this picture: ... while I was in Central America, to bring girls in bikini swimsuits to the beach for a photo shoot, and it was a lot of fun, I felt like a total boss being the only man, and the one driving that thing.

Behold, I have purchased...
(not the actual car)
...a Ford Transit 2012, or as I have now christened it, "The Brick".
It is a turbo diesel with only 207K on the dial and plenty of room in the back. It's a doer-uperrer, it needs a bit work and paint, a hose out, as well as a couple of solar panels on the top. Also, I'm going to learn how to make biodiesel so I can start giving the petrol stations the .I..

I've read about biodiesel guys before, and they say it's great to smell their vehicles coming down the road, because they always smell like hot French fries. I look forward to hearing about your endeavors.

Pretty awesome. You actually end up owning one. I would definitely celebrate that. I love those type of cars because when I was doing photography I could easily transport all the girls and feel like a big pimp. Now you can do that all the time when you want to. Park outside the club, and have your logistics already handled. When you are single, this is a gift. Congrats on the purchase.

All the biodiesel in the world isn't going to redeem that oversized piece of shit. Good going, Centipede. I TRIED to help you become progressive, but you didn't listen to me!! Maybe I should just stop offering you advice altogether because you don't seem to care.
I've said before that biodiesel isn't even sustainable, even compared to regular diesel. Bio gets worse fuel economy and hogs up land that could be forest or grassland. This was confirmed by scientists in a news article I read a couple months back.
Why any single person would "need" such a huge vehicle as a daily driver is anyone's guess.

Spirit Bomb You mean like how you ignore us when we try to convince you to get help and stop overreacting to things you don't agree with? dschult3 I got chipboard insulation to tear out, vent fans to replace above, floor to replace with a carpet, or maybe astroturf. I'm going to be all over the place, trying to make this thing look respectable.

Whatever. If I was Centipede, who lives in an arid, tropical country, I would use a moped as a daily driver and reserve the Ford Transit for the weekend category. But nooooooo, swines like Centipede feel as though they must drive everywhere in their oversized land yacht every single day!My diesel ride of choice would be the Tata Magic Iris You could use this little bad boy as a daily driver without offending anyone or anything, even the environment. And it's roomy enough for the weekend, too! Such an amazing achievement in auto engineering & design. The people who designed the Magic Iris should have all been awarded the Nobel Prize for Environmental Science.

I have a 2006 Honda element. You can take the seats in the back out and make a sleeping platform in the back or you can use the seats in that are already in the back as your bed. It has rubberized flooring so you never need to worry about spilling something as you can just wipe it up. No stupid carpet in the car to get all dirty. Its also AWD and is great in the snow. Mine has a little bit of rust underneath but its very minimal and there is no rust on the body anywhere. 160k miles now and not a single issue just did the normal maintenance and replaced things like tires and brakes but overall nothing major so far.
The only thing I wish I did have was the manual transmission version. The automatic version is no fun you just put it in drive and go nothing else too it.

Manual t-mission is tough when you're waiting at the near top of a hill, for traffic to go by. I've stalled many times. I don't have a rear view camera installed just yet, so it's impossible for me to tell how back the person is behind me. I was actually thinking of putting astroturf on the floor in the back.
