Meanwhile in Washington DC:
The Trump administration is trying to get a global rally going against China by accusing their government of lying about their supply of face masks, gloves, and other medical supplies. "We are not happy with China" speak for yourself, Trump. Not every American has the same nationalistic, Douglas MacArthur mentality that you do. I for one hold no animosity towards China.

"We are not happy with China" speak for yourself, Trump. Not every American has the same nationalistic, Douglas MacArthur mentality that you do. I for one hold no animosity towards China. That was just an editorial call, it is about voicing over those that feel that way, and want to have a public outcome for it. The supplies mentioned are just little details, not even close to the main topic. The whole thing is a form of verbal support for those that feel affected by it. Talking about success stories, this 98 years old man recovered: Quarantine game of the day:

Another excellent news from to artificial intelligence experts about end dates for the pandemic. Sadly they don't have the end dates for every country, but those are already pretty good spots to go by in terms of reference. It basically means June 18 is a good date for United States, and hopefully we will be able to slowly go back to normal. These are very likely possibilities because we are talking about top scientists, and government intelligence agencies within the team. All thanks to the massive measurements of quarantine, social distancing, and the wearing of masks this has a very good chance. It is not guaranteed depending of what happens in the next month, but those are really good news. Cervantes for Brazil it seems to be August 17, which means it is going to be a little longer, but keep in mind Brazil was hit later. But it is good there is a time frame to look forward to all the way to the theoretical ending at 11/11/2020. Quarantine game of the day: Those are excellent news, and it further reinforces the peace of mind that the end dates for the pandemic may be possible to achieve.

If by June 10th we don't have another 80K deaths, that means we are beating this thing. And those initial end dates I was talking about before could be achievable. We don't want to lose another 80 thousand lives to this thing. Many other countries are not counting the actual deaths, and are just writing down that the cause of death is typical pneumonia, like in Mexico, so it is hard to take those numbers into consideration. However U.S. is a good indicator to go by for other countries, so if we beat this thing here, it means other smaller countries will likely be in similar scenarios as well. Those are good news because there is hope we can slow down the death count this month, and finish the pandemic hopefully soon. Quarantine game of the day:

stratogustav - Oh man, you're making some good choices of suggested games for this quarantine! By the way, the replacement Health Minister here in Brazil has just quit too, yesterday, after less than a month since the last one quit. Apparently, the main point of contention is that Bolsonaro really wants to force medics to prescribe cloroquine to every pacient, even in the earliest stages of the disease - which is dumbnuts, of course, as every serious study has shown that it doesn't do shit against Covid-19 and has heavy side effects, including loss of peripheral vision and heart attacks. Even if the drug was effective, it would still not be recommended to everyone, especially since most people don't even need any drugs for covid anyway, getting only mild symptoms, and will recover from the disease by themselves. But Bolsonaro wanted the Health Minister to sign a protocol recommending (mandating, really) coloroquine's use on everyone, and now we are AGAIN with no Health Minister in the middle of a major pandemic. Keep in mind the guy wasn't even good at his job (he had no idea of what medical resources the country had and did not implement a single plan of action during his stay), but it's still worse to be without anyone. Sadly, Brazil is quickly rising to become the next epicenter of the pandemic after the US, which is truly a sad state of affairs as, before the president started throwing his tantrums by late March, the state governors and the previous Health Minister were getting to a relative control of the situation. At least I'm at a small city that is taking things seriously, so people are inside their homes and we are barely registering any new cases. If things are kept that way, I can see this place going through this without a more serious crisis and with very few deaths.

If things are kept that way, I can see this place going through this without a more serious crisis and with very few deaths. Thanks man, it's actually hard to go wrong with those consoles, they have so much good stuff. I'm glad you are in a safe city, like you said, as U.S. may go down in numbers, Brazil can easily become the next epicenter, well Mexico too, but they keep it quite. Some people had to break into hospitals to see the bodies piled up. It is horrible to watch, mothers saying their sons were fine yesterday, and all of the sudden they are dead the next day, so it is very hard for them finding the bodies there, even blaming the medical staff for killing them. In many Latin American countries they haven't even counted much of the actual deaths because it is too much to handle, but some of those are small countries in relation to Brazil, and Brazil has a lot more traveling, so it is expected to get hit the hardest. In Colombia I have seen families stealing the dead bodies because the authorities won't give it to them, and they want to bury them themselves, it is heart breaking. In Ecuador it was the government who wasn't capable to even recover the bodies, and the families with members left had to incinerate them themselves. In Peru they also ran out of space for all the bodies in the hospitals, it has been beyond terrible. Right now Brazil is already the official epicenter in Latin America, I remember posting the 13,000 grave spaces they were making for the bodies, and it is sad to see the satellite pictures that those have been filled already, and now they are making buildings instead. Hopefully the government can step up more. We hope that Brazil doesn't extend their situation anymore. As it is, they are the last likely to recover, and that's not a good thing. The sooner we overcome this the better. So far things are getting lighter, and hopefully every country can soon feel a relief from all of this. Quarantine game of the day:
