Watched Ben Hur (2016) last weekend. So, it is one of those weird things... Nothing about that movie is bad, it's actually very well made; I just think that I'm so used to this current wave of action movies that whenever someone tries to bring a classic back like that and stays mostly true to the amount of action that is supposed to happen (or at least what I assume was supposed to), I'm simply not entertained enough. I hate it when people come and say "I'd do this and that" to make "X" movie better, but I need to say that maybe either adding filler action or made some more artsy shots of the main characters while they have internal monologues could have saved the movie for me. Still not a bad time, you should check it out if you have the opportunity. I really like Supernatural. Started watching 2 weeks ago and i like it a lot. It seems i'm really into the paranormal. I think Supernatural gets their folklore incredibly wrong most of the time, BUT it's also very, very entertaining. You should keep watching, it still didn't get bad from the episodes I've watched.

Some of what the episodes about are similar to my culture and folklore, even one episode reminded me of my experience in my old house lol I agree, its highly pleasing and really fun to watch.

I've just watched Hardcore Henry, and man, it's fucking awesome! It's a first-person action movie, and was directed by the same guy that made that impressive clip a few years ago, Bad Motherfucker: Hardcore Henry is a movie-length version of this: the action is absurdly creative and it just never stops. HIGHLY recommended. By the way, this post should count as a recommendation for stratogustav, as this movie is on Netflix!

Thanks Cervantes. I'll definitely watch it. I'm more like a third person kind of guy, but it is always cool to try something new.

I had no idea it was made by the same guy! That's awesome! By the way, did you have to use Netflix or something? It never got into cinemas here.
The last movie I watched was Star Trek Beyond. It's an intelligent movie that didn't develop its interesting plot in an effective or interesting way. Also, because it's not as actiony or flashy as Marvel movies, this one might not be watched as much, which is a bummer considering that it was dedicated to Nimoy, and the last movie by Yelchin (he died a month before the movie came out).

I had heard about the movie last year, but had totally forgotten about it until I saw it included on Netflix this week. I hope you guys don't have motion sickness, as the camera moves really fast in some scenes. I'm still impressed by the choreography and the stunts: it must have been a lot of work planning the scenes, since there are a lot of continuous shots.

Finished season 1 last week, loved every episode, and the finale was really well made. Should start season 2 in a few weeks. Trying to space out my viewing to avoid getting burned out.

I don't remember anymore how the first 1 to 3 seasons went at all, but I'm assuming it was a very different show at that point. The biggest goofs in terms of broken lore are still to come for sure. By the way, I don't think it's very easy to get burned out of Supernatural, in fact I never planned to watch the show to begin with, it would just grab me and place my butt on the sofa.

I really liked the vampire lore the most from the show. I'm very susceptible to burnout, it started with smallville, was watching 4 to 5 episodes per day, i reached season 5 and i was hating the show because of that. I rewatched the show this year on a brisk pace and i love it more now than last year.

Well, coming back here to tell that I've watched The Magnificent 7 (2016), it's super recommended! Amazing movie, good action scenes, good talking scenes, nice stuff.
Now, you know what is even better than watching an awesome movie like that? Watching an awesome movie like Machete (2010). Machete is an action/exploitation movie set under the disturbingly realistic theme of social segregation and just overall hate promoted by figures like Trump. Yeah, it felt like the movie came out only yesterday. But the cherry on top is that all I need to ask you about this movie before recommending is: do you like action? Recommended! Maybe I could also ask... Do you like swords and women over guns? Why haven't you watched this yet?

I haven't commented on this thread through this month, so I accumulated a lot of stuff. I'll just give a brief summary of what I've been watching:
Arrested Development - This is quickly turning out to be one of the funniest shows I've ever watched (along with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, Wilfred and a few others). I'm on 3rd season right now, and they really upped the comedy by this point. Every actor is perfect for its character, the story is always well written and surprising and the running gags are just perfect (like all the chicken imitations, the gags about Michael never noticing anything wrong about Rita, GOB's magic shows always starting with "The Final Countdown" etc.). If you guys are looking for something funny, look for this series.
Black Mirror - A british dystopic/horror series about technology. Each episode is its own story (think of "The Twilight Zone"), and what they share in common is modern technology as a theme, with a strong focus on social networks and phones, but it also touches on a lot of other very sensitive topics. One of my favourites is one episode called "The Entire History of You", in which everyone has a device that records everything they see, so they can both rewatch anything countless times or show these memories to other people. Now imagine what happens when a jealous husband starts suspecting on his wife and keeps obssessively reviewing every single word and gesture, pressuring her into showing her memories, showing and asking for other people's opinions about what he saw etc. It's a very sci-fi concept taken at a surprisingly realistic level.
A lot of horror comedies! - My "Month of Horror" theme this year is the comedy/horror genre. I'll later talk about my favourite individual movies, but just to give a brief list of some that I have already watched: Attack of the Killer Tomatoes 1&2, Killer Clowns from Outer Space, Braindead/Dead Alive, Gremlins 2, The 'Burbs, Elvira's Haunted Hills, Piranha, Return of the Living Dead 1&2, Dracula Dead and Loving it, The Toxic Avenger, Bubba Ho-Tep, Re-Animator, They Live!. Some others were straight up horror, like Babadook, At midnight I'll take your soul, Absentia, Land of the Dead and The Night of the Living Dead's 1990 remake, all good movies (Land was slightly disappointing, though). I also rewatched Big Trouble in Little China; more of an action-comedy instead of horror, but it's such a fun movie I just couldn't pass. Between today and tomorrow, I'll be watching Bride of the Monster, the current season of Ash vs. Evil Dead and Young Frankenstein (the final October movie, as a homage to Gene Wilder).

- The Eden Of Grisaia - Girls Und Panzer - Sailor Moon Crystal
Some of those shows are totally for little kids but once I start something I like to finish it.
