I'm still pretty hyped but... Virtual Console Will Not Be Available At LaunchAt least we know why Nintendo reps have been evasive when asked about the Virtual Console service. This isn't a deal-breaker for me, but it does suggest that the Switch is going to be a Zelda machine for a few months. Hopefully we'll see a better Virtual Console roll-out once it gets going, without a repeat of the Wii and Wii U's VC content trickle, and the ability to movie VC game purchases over from the Wii U and/or 3DS. Japan is Apparently Getting some Neo-Geo Downloads in March
This might be a good sign for the Virtual Console, however as the article notes, these might be launches as digital downloads, but not through the Virtual Consolve service. Issues With the Switch Joy-Cons Disconnecting from the System
This one's also a bit worrying. Seems to be happening with the left Joy-Con on a lot of Switches shipped out at review copies. Hopefully this is a firmware issue that can be corrected with a partch (even if it worsens the Joy-Con battery life a bit), rather than a haardware issue. Overall, I'm still glad that I'm going to be waiting a while. I've got plenty of games, so if I have to wait 6 months for the bugs to be worked out, etc, not too much of an issue. |

I'm still pretty hyped but... Virtual Console won't be there, but eShop will be. The Joy-Con issue is there for both Right and Left, which seems to point to a Bluetooth problem. Like you, I'm going to be waiting til at least the summer before picking one up. Hopefully all problems will be patched and the game line-up will be more fleshed out. |

5 more days. I was going to wait until fall but have the money and decided hell with it I'll preorder. I should have the Switch, Zelda, Bomberman, and a pro controller here on release day. And I might grab Fast RMX off the eshop.

You just know this thing is gonna have a portrait mode for DS remasters. The joy-joys should attach to the top and bottom as well. Why aren't they made of velcro? Why can't this thing run off a single AA battery for 40 hours? Why doesn't the dock hide a robot named Roller in its hidden compartment?
I like that they're giving love to Bomberman. They should do a 2-tier game lineup with big budget games that kill the battery and cheaper budget games that don't drain the battery. After all this will probably replace the 3ds as well as the Wii U.
