I hate to interrupt the small talk Balder and Dan E. are having, but I'm gonna suggest some Wii games.
I own and really like A Boy and His Blob, such a charming game! I highly recommend it, although I have no idea what it currently sells for these days. If you find it for cheap, definitely pick it up.
Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is absolutely without question the BEST 1st party game I've played on the Wii. Too bad it's expensive as fuq. X/ I recommend it, but it's gonna cost ya.
The Kirby games on Wii look decent, I guess. You could try those.
Geometry Wars on Wii always looked fun, but I never got around to playing it.

There were some very good consoles in the 6th generation. Each was different and unique. To call the GameCube the weakest of the bunch is interesting. I never really thought about it before. I didn't own a GameCube myself bitd, but a friend of mine had one and the multiplayer was a blast. I don't love Melee as much as the Maestro, but the game's fun. Same with Mario Kart and some 007 game I can't quite place a name to. |

GameCube is definitely on par or maybe even superior in some aspects than every other 6th gen system simply because it has the most timeless exclusives.
Melee, Double Dash!!, Wind Waker, Rogue Squadron, Toadstool Tour, Eternal Darkness, F-Zero GX, Wario World, the Super Monkey Ball games, pretty much every single Mario Party, and even Sunshine among others, are all insanely timeless.
That said, the richest library is the PS2 library with some of my favorite games of all time like Lament Of Innocence, Shadow Of The Colossus, Gradius V, Shattered Soldier, Curse Of Darkness, Neo Contra, the Silent Hill games, I even liked Rumble Roses. Also they have all those amazing SNK games.
Then the Dreamcast was simply excellence, releasing pretty much the biggest amounts of very unique and original 10 out of 10 games in a very short time including Ikagura, Under Defeat, Bangai-O, Border Down, Mars Matrix, Zero Gunner 2, Giga Wing, Giga Wing 2, Gunbird 2, and Canon Spike. You simply can't compete with that.
Then add to that titles like Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Crazy Taxi, The House Of The Dead 2, Virtua Tennis, Soulcalibur, you just can't win.
In all honesty the weakest was the Xbox with Halo. It had great exclusives, but the competition was rough. That's not to say it wasn't successful in comparison to the Dreamcast, but that's simply because people are lame and don't know what's good.
That's old news though, if you want to know something new, I can tell you that in the past I broke chairs and couches while having sex, then yesterday I finally broke a bed, there is always a first time, and I'm not particularly proud of this one.

The Gamecube has an enormous amount of awesome exclusives, and is superior to the Wii in every way, even though the Wii is essentially just a Gamecube but with gimmicks slapped on. It's often better than the PS2 for multiplatform games because they often look better, run smoother, and don't require a multitap setup for multiplayer like the PS2 does. And that last part of your comment was totally subjective, because for me the only unappealing 6th gen console is the Dreamcast. Had one, sold it and don't regret that decision. May I ask why the Gamecube doesn't appeal to you? |
