It was nice to see Tales of Arise announced, and it looks gorgeous. Lovely trailer score as well.
Tales of Xestiria and Tales of Berseria were both hampered visually by having to be able to run on PS3 hardware, despite getting PS4 and PC releases and of course Tales of Vesperia was a remaster of a game that originally appeared on the PS3 and 360, so this feels like the first current-gen Tales game in some ways.

Looks like we've got another FF7 remake trailer as well, along with a release date of March 3rd, 2020

Microsoft seems to have had a good showing. They had so many games to show off; it was impressive. I don't know how anyone has the time to play all of them these days. I feel like many developers are left in the dust, and they may have a great game to offer.

Bethesda was so cringy this year with their shills. What did they do? They have been lost to me since the pay to play Fallout version.

They had some guy at the front row shouting at every small thing. "This new game will be called xyz... WOOHOO AWW YEAH". Just search for hypeman or something and you'll find a compilation.

It's going mobile now!" *audience goes wild* Blizzard could have used these guys when they announced that mobile Diablo.

So many You Tubers are complaining up a storm about CGI trailers. How crazy is that? In the late 90s, that was the coolest thing ever. Now, everyone hates it.
Oh well. On another note, did you guys catch that the Nintendo Wii is going to get Just Dance 2020? It isn't my thing, but the Wii is getting a new game. How about that?

Whenever it is, the last game on the Wii will definitely be an entry in the Just Dance series.

Nice to see Final Fantasy 8 finally getting a remaster. That makes all the main PS1 games.
I think I'll probably end up getting it for the PS4, as that's where I have the FF7, 9, 10, and 12 remasters.
I know this was announced a while ago, but I'm actually looking forward to the Crystal Chronicles remake as well. Might pick it up on Switch, as it seems well suited to portable play....but might depend on what system other folks I know get (if they buy it at all), as I liked the multiplayer aspect, and it would be nice to try online

Nice to see SaGa get some love too, though I haven't really followed that series since the old Final Fantasy Legend Game Boy entries.

Gods & Monsters looks interesting from this teaser at least. Definitely getting Breath of the Wild vibes, but I assume it will have a lot of the normal Ubisoft open world stuff. I've always liked Greek mytholody

Regarding that Final Fantasy 7 Remake it looks like it is still going episodic, with the release in March 2020 just covering the initial time in Midgar up until the party leaves.
I actually...don't mind that so much. When I played FF7 originally, I wondered if the whole game was taking place in Midgar, and we wouldn't see an overworld at all. I think the first time, I spent around 10 hours there, though of course I can get through it much faster these days. You do spend more time there for story stuff than any other section of the original though, so it makes a certain amount of sense.
From the longer trailer, which I've posted below, it looks like a lot of little character interactiosn are fully voiced. That along will likely drag out the length of the game a lot more than just scrolling through text boxes. It looks like a lot of little character moments are expanded as well. If it is a full length game experience, I'm think I'm okay with it being released in episodes (hopefully at regular intervals). When the party leaves Midgar and you see the expanse of the world...and really daylight for the first time, that seems like a good place to end the initial episode.

I have mixed feelings about it being episodic. It annoys me a bit; however, I've heard that the first episode is the size of two discs. So, I guess it makes sense then. I suppose they should sell it on an external hard drive in the future!

Nice to see SaGa get some love too, though I haven't really followed that series since the old Final Fantasy Legend Game Boy entries. I've heard that The Last Remnant was kind of a successor to the SaGa series. I've played and liked it, but I don't know how far the connection goes, it seems it's mostly related to the combat system (I never played SaGa).
