I saw these Bluetooth controllers on an episode of Game Sack recently. Apparently the Switch can work with just about any Bluetooth controller, which is weird for Nintendo, but I'm not going to question it. Rumble, wireless, shoulder buttons, etc. Looks good and still cheaper than Nintendo's Pro Controller. I'll definitely pick one of these up around holiday time when I finally shell out for a Switch. Link to official site: 8BitDoThey have links to their Amazon store, but it says they're shipping later this year. Dunno how Dave already has one...

Dude!I can't tell about their build quality without touching them, but if it's like the old stuff then those are fucking great! They can even scan amiibos! teddykongcountryI think this man speaks the realest issue here. XD In my case I think it's a little worse, even, because there have been single years in which the new releases for the Ps3 were stronger than the Ps4 library TODAY! And I can remember that happening, so it adds to my disappointment that Nintendo didn't quite do it yet.

Now I'm considering the SNES themed one. The best part is how the left analog stick is well placed on there.

So, I waited for more news on the Switch, and considering the tastes brought up by us I've got these to show: - www.rollingstone.com/glixel/news/doom-on-switch-runs-at-30fps-multiplayer-download-is-9-gb-w504975Dan E. Kool, maybe you have a better system for Doom...? I don't know. I was actually thinking "Doom on Switch would be a great FPS pick!" but since the game is available elsewhere with better performance it might not be worth it. I wonder if they tried to downscale more to try and go for 60fps, that would'be been perfect. As for Fire Emblem Warriors, there's a bunch of new stuff announced, but this is the best tidbit: While it is kind of a bummer Shadow Dragon is getting more characters, at least they're looking good here - and Tiki is definitely the most salvagable character from that game. But I'd like to point out that there has been a lot shown about the game in TGS (wonder why no one made a TGS topic here since it's the biggest video game convention), and a lot has been positive; now Tiki's moveset is definitely something else, and I'm glad that they were allowed to have some fun making a dumb character; additionally, other dragon characters like Fae and Nowi are palette swaps away from her! Well, maybe not Fae, but at least Nowi.

Nice find, Spider! I actually don't own anything that can run [this particular] DOOM. I had wanted to get a PS4 late last year, but when the Switch was announced I decided to save my money. The Switch just makes more sense for me. My only experience with [this] DOOM was while visiting my cousin, also six months ago. He's of the PC Master Race and he's studying to become a game dev, so I'm sure that what I saw running on his setup is as smooth as I'll ever see the game. Unfortunately for me, he barely let me play it because all he wants to play when I'm around is retro stuff! But it's all good. Obviously I knew that DOOM wasn't going to be like it was on my cousin's PC, on the go. His PC is this massive humming tower and the Switch is basically a tablet. The fact it runs at all is amazing. And, according to another article on Rolling Stone, presumably by the same author you linked to, it is, at the very least, fun to play. Whether they downgrade it some more to get a higher frame rate or it looks as good as it did in the reveal at 30, I'm sure I'll be fine with it. I'm not saying that frame rates don't matter, only that they're not the most important thing. As an example: I'm setting up my Genesis because my sister is coming to visit and I know she'll want to play Road Rash. There's no denying that Road Rash looks waaayyy better when in Single Player. But the amount of fun you get from playing with a sibling or friend more than makes up for it. I expect the experience of playing DOOM on a plane or train or what have you, will more than make up for the lower frame rate. For me, anyway. If it offers local multiplayer via multiple Switches, I'm golden.

My only experience with the new DOOM is seeing Mark scream DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! at flowers. That was awesome.

Oy vey! Here's an article on Switch sales in Japan. What with the news that the Nintendo Switch has sold over 1.5 million units in Japan since its release in March, the way in which it is selling will likely mean it will end up as the next major console in the region. The sales data itself covers the first 26 weeks of each console’s lifespan and is going the rounds on places like 2ch in Japan, although the data itself originates from Media Create. In short, during the first 26 weeks on sale, the PS4 managed to sell 665,760 units, whereas the Switch sold 1,527,962 units. To add insult to injury, it took the PS4 a total of 69 weeks for it to sell 1,523,471 units in Japan. So whichever way you look at it, the Switch is doing incredibly well here. But if you have data that says otherwise, feel free to share. What about WORLDWIDE?!!

In your original post, you asserted that the Switch wasn't selling well. The burden of proof is actually yours, here, not mine. I've linked to articles showing that it's moving more units in both the U.S. and Japan (the top two biggest video game console markets) than any other console for the last six months. I think that proves well enough that the Switch is selling well. Here's a link for global sales. I won't bother quoting it because it doesn't show anything different than what my previous posts did. Again, if you know something that I don't, share your link and we can discuss. Otherwise, accept you were wrong and refrain from making unsubstantiated claims in the future. Thank you.

I dunno tbh, i haven't been following gaming news, hardware sales to a lesser extent. I do frequent GFaqs however.

I jokingly went into Target to check for SNES minis, and lo and behold, there was an entire shipment of Switches. I suppose they finally have figured out the production issues. I'm going to hold out and get one once the Mario bundle comes out.
