Wait a second. There wasn’t even a count to begin with Besides, for a man who seems to pride himself on enjoying artsy fartsy things, I’m surprised Balder prefers Star Wars over the more intellectual and philosophical Trek. Star Wars is kids stuff. Hey, what are you calling artsy fartsy? (Everything David Lynch is just perfect, okay? You got that?) Star Wars is on a higher level in pure quality over Star Trek. Star Wars is timeless, the perfect combination and blend of all genres: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Western, Samurai, Action etc. Star Trek is outdated on several areas. I wasn’t dissing artsy fartsy stuff. I’m just stating you enjoy artsy fartsy stuff (which I don’t think you’d disagree with) In what ways are Trek outdated? Because it seems to me that the themes of Trek, even 60’s Trek, are just as relevant today as they were when they were first written.

Some Star Trek episodes are really campy.

Some Star Trek episodes are really campy. You’re comparing an old television show to a big budget movie franchise. The comparison is unfair. The Trek movies hold up much better by comparison. TMP and Wrath Of Khan still have believable effects that I think compare very favorably to the original Trilogy. And yeah, some Trek episodes are campy (Spock’s Brain), but none of those are worse than watching Jar Jar fall over himself for an entire movie, or a Bea Aurther musical odyssey, or a caravan of courage. And you mention the camp but fail to mention all the classics Trek produced. Doomsday Machine. Space Seed. City On The Edge Of Forever. Trouble With Tribbles. Tholian Web. The Empath. Wrath Of Khan. The Voyage Home. Undiscovered Country. Conspiracy. Q Who. Yesterday’s Enterprise. Best Of Both Worlds. Tapestry. First Contact. Deep Space Nine’s entire Dominion War arc. Dark Frontier. Year Of Hell. Unimatrix Zero. All classics, many of them more dramatic, more emotional, funnier, intense, or whatever metric you wish to measure against Star Wars.

I won't deny that Star Trek has great concepts, but there is a lot of shit. Star Wars is simply better dude. I could sit down any day and watch A New Hope. I could not do that with Star Trek.

"Everything wrong with" is so bad. They don't even have a standarized system. It's completely arbitrary.

Why am I not surprised that the Norwegian wants to regulate humor? They use a scoring system that is supposed to measure a movie's faults. But on some movies they add multipliers. What's the point of even having a scoring system at all then?

I haven't watched this guy's other videos, but from watching the Nightmare on Elm Street one above, it's painfully obvious. The "sins" are jokes, the "sin counter" is a joke, and his final "rating" (of Goat) is all a joke. It has nothing to do with critiquing the film and everything to do with cracking wise at plot holes and whatever else. Not all of the jokes are winners, but enough of them made me laugh that I felt like sharing. If I knew it was going to upset you, I would have put a trigger warning in my post.
