It's just a joke, man. It doesn't need to have a point. I haven't watched this guy's other videos, but from watching the Nightmare on Elm Street one above, it's painfully obvious. The "sins" are jokes, the "sin counter" is a joke, and his final "rating" (of Goat) is all a joke. It has nothing to do with critiquing the film and everything to do with cracking wise at plot holes and whatever else. Not all of the jokes are winners, but enough of them made me laugh that I felt like sharing. If I knew it was going to upset you, I would have put a trigger warning in my post. *triggering intensifies Nah Dan, have your fun. Sorry if I upset ya. I guess that that show simply isn't for me. TRIGGER WARNING! Compassion and understanding ahead! No worries. It's cool.

Once again, Balder proves that he is #veryfakenews. If you're going to make stuff up, try to make it more believable next time. Everyone here knows that Dan E. Kool never sleeps.

That's great! But yeah... I don't think any movie portraying homesexuality as ugly, bad, and dumb would survive nowadays. I honestly don’t think they were trying to portray us as “bad” per say. It seemed like a lot of it was just metaphors for the main characters’ closeted homosexuality, but nothing vicious as movies of that era tended to be. Wait! Is this a revelation or am I the last person here getting to know this? But I disagree, I think that if they weren't portraying homosexuality as evil, the protagonist wouldn't walk out of the movie as a heterosexual, he would either be homo or leave the matter undefined.

But I disagree, I think that if they weren't portraying homosexuality as evil, the protagonist wouldn't walk out of the movie as a heterosexual, he would either be homo or leave the matter undefined. It's important when watching old movies like these to remember how taboo homosexuality was. Homosexuality has only very recently become really accepted by the mainstream. Even back to the very beginning, Hollywood was full of gay men who knew they were gay, who would tell each other they were gay, but couldn't let the public know they were gay. They would write/direct/produce/etc films that would hint at their situation, but they had to be careful not to let the secret slip, at the risk of their careers. Leaving the protagonist as gay at the end of the movie would have been totally unacceptable. That wouldn't have even been an option on the table for the filmmakers. That doesn't mean that the filmmakers were anti-gay, just that it they wanted their film to be made, those were the rules they had to follow.

People in that industry often have to put up with that.
