Wow this thread should have been renamed to "A Nighmare on Elm Street, featuring all the movies Balder hadn't seen at the time, but really it's a discussion about what's best between Star Wars and Star Trek". Alright, back to topic. I watched A Nightmare on Elm Street, and it's fantastic, here's my thoughts on the film:
"Now this is fucking good. After watching the whole run of the original Halloween series, it is finally time to get back to watching a good horror movie. This movie does not fuck around, straight to the point with awesome set-pieces and out of this world special effects. The pacing is so damn good in this movie, there is never a dull moment. Freddy Kruger is such a badass character in this. He toys with his victims and kills them in this super creative fashions. Wes Craven must be very creative to come up with all of this stuff. There is so much to love in this movie like Freddy coming out of the wall and the hand in the bathtub (so damn iconic both of them!), the slimy staircase, maggots inside Freddy's chest etc etc. There is just so much to love in this movie. The ending is also great. Spoiler: I love how Freddy wins in the end. Makes him out to be so terrifying just when you believe the teenagers had won." 4.5/5
