Cool. Well I'm glad you enjoy 3D, even though I don't care for it.

Hey mates, forgive me but I'll change the subject to books again. Have any of you read those book adaptations of video games? I never have, so I'm curious about how they are. One of the Youtube channels I always mention around here, Super Bunnyhop, made a fun video about them: I actually own the novelization for the first Doom game. I never read it, but hearing about the sequel really makes me want to.

I've been making my way through Robert Graves' I Claudius, a dense and thorough novel that seems to be interested in anyone but it's titular figure. That's relevant, isn't it?

We got it back on tracks! And I just ordered The Book of Odes, since I finally found it. Too expensive for my taste, but since I found this rare book, I had to buy it.

Got bored of reading The Trigger (Because really I picked it up thinking it would be about angsty teenagers reading tumblr posts) and decided to pick something a little more my alley:
A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. Miller.
I'm enjoying it quite a bit, however it lacks a bit on the world building department in my opinion.

Upon finding book 7 in a Goodwill, I took it upon myself to reread the entire Harry Potter series as book 7 was the only one I missed out on growing up. I went ahead and captured my impressions in a series of review videos categorized under a "book review" playlist: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpMUz4DRuEFMFjellcb2JASiysBEhw6JtI used to read a wider variety of material via my undergraduate curricula but once I earned my Bachelors degree, I took a heavy break from reading so I could work, play games and be merry. Inevitably, this series marks my return to literary pursuits and whilst likely considered child's play by most in the pub, I found myself quite fond of reembarking on the Hogwarts Express, especially via video series. Incidentally, I've yet to see reading, video games or films as little more than same stories and characters with different coats of paint as Mister Xiado suggests and would like to think that phenomenon should seldom occur.

Teddy, you got a way with words, man.
I'm reading Tom Clancy's The Sum of All Fears. It's pretty good. The cast of characters is huge and I'm not so good with remembering names, but other than that Tom can really spin a believable yarn.

But there's just too many books I've got to read beforehand.

Never gave any thought to the previous books, just found this one at a second hand shop and started reading.

Tom Clancy sounds like a good sponge soaked full of imperial military pseudo-genealogy. Keep us posted! Current (re)reading log: The Golden Compass/Northern Lights. Very rich writing that boasts a defiant, adventurous youth protagonist and monster/demon pairing with people.

I'm currently reading If On a Winter's Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino. Easily one of the best Post Modern books of all time. Extremely clever!

Got Vic and Blood by Harlan Ellison as a birthday present. It's alright, however based on the fact that there's a whole movie based on it I was expecting a bigger book (Did I pick a summary by accident? I don't know x.x)
