The interesting thing about films these days is you can tell whether or not they're dogshit by the trailer. That never used to be the case. Based on the way the franchise is trending and the trailer this film is probably dog shit. Eventually I'll watch it to confirm its dog-shittiness. But it is not this day. The trailer hyped me up a lot. But I'm disgusted by the movie now. I'm sitting here contemplating if it's dead last, even worse than R1. |

TLJ is currently the lowest rated SW movie on Metacritic. It's extremely polarizing.

Balder I thought people liked Rogue One? I haven't seen the newer SW movies so I don't really have an opinion of my own.

TLJ is currently the lowest rated SW movie on Metacritic. It's extremely polarizing. It was doing better than TFA when I checked last. But let's talk about some of the problems. So far you've said you disliked the movie multiple times. Let's hear the reasons. There's plenty to discuss... For one thing, the way that Luke Skywalker gets depicted here. The man who rushed to face Darth Vader at Cloud City, who was fearless even in front of the Emperor, is now so terrified of his former student and nephew that he runs away to hide and shuts himself off from the Force entirely? He totally abandons his Jedi ways ("I'm a Jedi, like my father before me") to become a bitter hermit? Mark Hamill did a fantastic job, but I need a better explanation for such a dramatic change in his character than Oooo Scary Kylo Ren. |

Are you proud of what you've done? It's only a damn movie, just say you loved it. Join the positive reviews. Suppress your feelings, boy. Only then can your journey to being a casual movie goer be complete. Also

I've searched my feelings, Commando is better. So you finally watched it? To be fair, you almost don’t need to watch Commando to know it’s the best. I talked to my buddy, who’s a huge Star Wars fan, and he liked it. Then he claimed it was better than Kickboxer, which made me not believe him. |

I'm looking at your comments around this thread, and I don't know if I should spoil myself watching others commenting on it to convince me to go watch it.
As I may have said before, Star Wars stopped being a "must watch" for me after Force Awakens; then my hope was renewed after watching Rogue One, and then it went down again because this sequel out in theaters right now isn't meant to take any clues from that latter one. At this point I just want a non-sidestory movie with the name "Star Wars" on it that's actually good.
