I think he did the newest Doctor Strange too. Some of those new ones require Disney+ TV shows to even follow what's going on. Marvel is so big now that most people just don't have the time to follow everything they are putting out.

I recently watched the Double Dragon movie. It has a really young Mark Dacascos (from John Wick 3, Iron Chef USA and The Crow tv series). I felt like it was a precursor to the 90's Mario movie, with humourous minions, 90's teen stereotypes, weird character reimaginings (Marian and Abobo) and with a touch of Escape from New York. It was a world where the ice caps were melted

Return to Oz. The sequel to the Wizard of Oz. What were these screenwriters smoking?

I watched Black Adam and The North Man. People were split on Black Adam. What are your thoughts? I haven't seen it.

This week was the last sessions of Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
The Grim Reaper wolf aka "Straight Up Death" adds a dimension of maturity to this movie. Normally, the Reaper is pretty neutral about his job in other franchises. In this, since Puss has had 8 previous lives, and also taken them for granted, Death takes it personally.

I went to see Missing with a friend. Not bad, but it requires a suspension of disbelief that the average 18 year old girl is smart enough to do all those things.

I finally watched Top Gun: Maverick. Such a great movie, 5/5. The scene with Val Kilmer was really strong, I'm glad they did it. I was also very impressed by the action, you can really tell that's not just blue screen + CGI, you can almost feel the pressure on the plane when they're maneuvering through that canyon. Having just rewatched the original movie, I think the sequel far surpasses it. It's a pleasant surprise that some of these late sequels (Mad Max, Blade Runner, Top Gun) aren't just nostalgia cashgrabs, but actually great movies.
Here I'm hoping that the next Indiana Jones can also be among those and fares better than the latest one...

Privacy. Made-for-TV tech thriller about a guy who invents an app that can see thouorgh the smartphone camera in anyone in the city and finds this girl on the run. You need lots of suspension of disbelief, because phones cameras aren't always pointing they way you'd want them, and who just sneaks into a mansion in plain clothes? 3/5

In the spirit of the Studio Ghibli extravaganza at my house, I have recently watched (or re-watched in some cases) Ponyo, Castle in the Sky, Grave of Fireflies, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, and The Tale of Princess Kaguya (I watched it yesterday. Every movie has been fantastic. I really can't say enough about the beauty of the art style (Princess Kaguya is so uniquely beautiful) and the story telling. The next two I've got are From up on Poppy Hill and Porco Rosso.

The family and I went to see the Super Mario movie. It was a good time, no alcohol required, as Jeremy Jahns likes to say. I like how they didn't think we were stupid, and just jumped into the lore. Explanations for the bizarre world of Mario is not necessary. Also, I had fun finding all of the Easter eggs. I found a lot, but I'm sure I'll have to watch it again to find more. Obviously, this isn't a movie intended to compete with the artistic prowess of other studios; It was created as fan service, and I appreciate that. If you're interested, give the movie a shot.

Attack of the Doc! - The Epic Story Behind G4TV and Attack of the Show!
Good film showing some good moments when tv was something different.
