So, I'm not a fan of the Dynasty games. It isn't because I dislike them, but rather I've never really played them long enough to get into them. Now this is coming out.
After spending as much time as possible doing everything that you can possibly do in Breath of the Wild, I remember saying that it would be awesome to actually participate in the war against Gannon 100 years ago. Now it looks like you can. I may pick this one up.

It's funny they did this because the Zelda Warriors games are now canon to me. In fact, the first one was to me the representation of the epic battles they talked about from the past as well. If Zelda was Mega Man, Resident Evil, or Street Fighter, these would be the equivalent of Zero series, but for Zelda.

It should be interesting. The war against Calamity Ganon and the fall of Hyrule might be suited to Hyrule Warriors style, and I'm happy to see more with Link, Zelda and the Four Champions. It will also be interesting to play a Musou game where you know you must ultimately lose the war.

Torna: The Golden Country was the first game I had ever played with that result. It was heart wrenching, but worth the beautiful story. I'm sure it will be like that with this game.

I didn't think about that. Losing the war is important. That definitely makes it special. I like media where the good guys lose at the end.
Even in Avengers, in my mind it would have been better if they stopped at Infinity War and not End Game, but I understand they have to do it for the kids.
The French definitely have this down, pretty much all their movies are tragedies, and it is a nice taste of fresh air for a change.

The French definitely have this down, pretty much all their movies are tragedies, and it is a nice taste of fresh air for a change. Torna ripped my heart in two. I loved every character, and I knew most of them were going to die. It was completely worth it though, and it made the Xenoblade story that much more special. Knowing that the Champions will die will make it that much more authentic, I can guarantee that.
I really liked Urbosa, and I hope that we get a bit of her backstory. She was very confident an strong. I like characters like that.
Mipha's story, of course, will be really sad. I love the lore behind the Zora, so the more we get, the better.
Daruk was a fun character, so I know his death will suck. He seemed like someone who would be really cool to hang out with.
Then there is Revali...
I wonder if they can spin a yarn about him that will make me care more about him.

Yeah, they definitely have a lot of material they can cover. I finished Fire Emblem Warriors in 15 hours or so.
Some of these Warriors games are intimidating to people because they can be very long, like over 200 hours, but if you only focus on the main quest, you can usually do it in less than 20, and you still get the chance to feel you enjoyed the entire game.

I caught my son playing on my Wii U save, and he had attempted to start over. The auto save had all of the previous saves except for one from my original game, and I almost had a heart attack. 3 1/2 years ago, I painstakingly found all of the damn Korok seeds, and I did not want that to disappear. For some reason, you can't start a different file on the Wii U. I suppose you can create another profile, but it is stupid like that. So, I bought a copy he could play for the Switch, since it was on sale for $39. When he wasn't playing it this morning, I popped it in, and a wave of nostalgia from just 3 1/2 years ago instantly welled up inside of me. This game is soooooooooooo good.

I can imagine how that must feel. My Wii U save filed had so many hours of playing I probably can't even give a real number, and all of the sudden the Wii U stopped recognizing the external hard drive where it was saved, not even my computer can recognize it. It is completely lost.
The only solution is to format the external hard drive and lose it all, but it has been a year, and I still haven't dare to do it.
It doesn't hurt so much anymore because it was the regular version, and I probably have about the same progress on the Switch on the Master mode, so even if it gets lost forever I'll still have that.

stratogustav. The Wii U uses a proprietary file format. If it is a windows PC, the file manager may recognize something is plugged in, and allow you to reformat it, but it won't recognize the file structure, so that may not mean anything is wrong. A friend's modded Wii U had a similar issue, but it turned out to be a faulty USB cable when I took it home for testing. Before you consider formatting it, I would suggest trying a different USB cable, and if that fails, a different USB hard drive enclosure to see if you have any luck. Also might be worth trying the front USB ports on the Wii U, in case the ports on the back have failed (or visa versa).

Imperial Khador I appreciate all the suggestions. I didn't think about those. I will definitely going to try them. The file more worth saving for me is probably Hyrule Warriors since I'm pretty sure I have like 200 hours on that one from back in the day. I don't have the Switch version, and I was considering it just for that hard drive issue alone. That's exactly what happens with Windows, so it may be the same case with me. I have extra cables, so I'm going to try those and the other things.

stratogustav Glad to hear it. Make sure to let us know the results when you get around to it I am definitely glad that with the Switch, all save data remains in the system's internal flash storage, even if the game is on a micro SD card, and that online backups are an option. I'm a huge Wii U apologist, as you know. I love my Wii U, but save data is an unambiguous misstep. With the Wii, your save data could be brought to your friend's house on an SD card, just like memory cards for the GameCube, PS1, PS2, etc. Granted, some saves like Mario Kart and Smash Bros were locked to the system, but by and large it was convenient. By saving it in the same location as the game itself on the Wii U (at least in the case of digital games), if your game was corrupted, or a hard drive died, you lost your save. That really sucks. I too have lost my Hyrule Warriors save, though I was not as invested in it

This game is 5 years old now! It's kind of hard to believe. My son was 6 when this came out. He is playing for the first time through now as we speak. I was hoping 2 would come out on the anniversary. I wonder when it will come out, but I don't want it rushed at all. Broken games suck, and Zelda games aren't known for being broken.
