Breath of the Wild

I pre-ordered it too but it takes 5 business days to get it. I'm very patient though.

Holding off for now, but it does look so good.

leaon79s - Nier Automata just showed up on Steam (presale), already on my wishlist. Too bad I've already spent too much money on games these latest months, so it'll have to wait!

I'm impressed by the Zelda reviews, it really seems they decided to make a game closer to NES Zelda, completely open and very exploration based (instead of based on missions/quests, as every modern open world game). I'll wait for one of you guys to play and comment on it, as I trust the opinions on this pub more than that metacritic bullshit.

Too bad I can't play it either way, as I don't have a Wii U and can't buy a new console right now (and don't have much interest in the Switch anyway until it gets many more games). Hey, at least I'm thinking of finally starting A link between worlds on my 3DS, so there's that.

Zelda games automatically get 10/10s solely based on the fact that it's Zelda. I wouldn't start getting hyped over reviews, especially nowadays.
Still, it's nice to see Zelda going for a more open world approach considering how the mainline entries after Zelda 1 have been linear hallways. I'll have to see what the game is like myself when I get around to obtaining it because I sure as shit don't trust reviewers opinions on the series.

It seems to be copying heavily from Monster Hunter and other older series like that, both in gameplay and technical/visual quality, and it feels less like a Zelda game than any other Zelda game before it, even the CDi games had a more Zelda-esque feel to them.
I'm not saying that's bad, the usual Zelda game isn't what I'd call good anyway so a heavy departure with lots of changes are all most welcome.
But because it changes in such extremely unoriginal ways it yet again fails to catch my interest, if I wanted any of the things Breath of the Wild offers I'd much rather do them in games where those things fit better and are better executed, like any game in the Monster Hunter series.
Seriously, cooking food and managing items like that feels wildly out of place for Link to do, like he just so desperately wants to be in a better game already, and all it made me want to do was play any Monster Hunter instead, because at least in Monster Hunter I get to hunt huge epic monsters, not just attack stupid looking pig people over and over again..

Regardless, if I was going for an open world action adventure game atm I'd go with Horizon Zero Dawn, it beats Monster Hunter easily when it comes to taking on huge monsters and all that, and imo it's the better mix of sci-fi and fantasy rather than just the fantasy part.
