What? I've never heard this before. Who did the native americans enslave? Short answer: members of other rival tribes. There are numerous examples when they abducted whites from Colonial America up until Western Expansion into Apache and Comanche territories (1880's). Pre-Columbian groups (Aztec, Mayan, and Inca) enslaved whole populations. The Aztec reliance on human sacrifice might be considered "problematic." Oh. Well honestly I was specifically referring to the North American indians in my original post, and considering that the colonists were the aggressors who started the whole conflict, I think it was pretty reasonable for the indians to react that way.

The North Americans Indians enslaved people too.

Spirit Bomb Don't tell us you didn't know whenever natives used soil for some time and the land seemed infertile they just burned it(for the sake of marking that place as used) and moved on to other places? Burning soil is actually good for it. It makes the next generation of soil more fertile. Are you telling me natives abandoned good land on purpose?

Yes, but they were extremely conscious about the number of animals they culled each year, because they fully understood the consequences of over-exploitation of nature and its resources.

Because the theory of burning soil is that when the soil is overworked by farming to much on it, you need it to rest for a season. And burning plants gives it extra nitrogen, which will make it better for the next season.

They cleared forests to "tame the land" just like the filthy whites. It wasn't all like Disney's Pocahontas.

There is really no way to tell. Do you believe the white man is responsible for the extinction of dinosaurs? I'm sure the indians had no bad apples and were the very incarnation of good.

Hey, this reminds me of something I overheard recently about racism and heritage. Cervantes is it true that Brazil imported more black slaves than any other country on earth until slavery was abolished? And that most Brazillians have at least some degree of black (African) in their genetics? I hear racism is still an issue there, too. Is any of this true?

A lot of our problems come from people not really admitting that Brazil is a very racist country, so most policies that should work towards bringing equity are seen as people being victimists or something. Also, not a lot of people recognize their african descent (some people will even say they are "very, very white" - actually an expression I've heard countless times, even recently - when they clearly aren't, almost as if skin colour were a shameful thing).

I hate to get off topic, but has anyone heard the voice acting in Yooka Laylee? To have your "voice" cut from this game is actually very funny...

Wow, that's awful. So has segregation ever occurred in Brazil? It still occurs here in america to an extent, but our country has mostly gotten over other issues related to racism. And what about acts of violence (like lynching and stuff)? I wonder why So many people in your country refuse to admit being of black heritage? It doesn't happen in America.
