It definitely broke some of that CGR magic for me. Mark's definitely headed in the wrong direction with his attitude. Maybe it's good the podcast is killed off. All of the interview podcasts have all been about circle jerking his books and hating on social media/YouTube. I get it, he hates YT and Facebook, but when I'm paying for his product I would expect some more positivity instead of beating a dead horse. I can only imagine how he could feel after he got threats for the CGR shoutout videos. Wait, what are you talking about? People threatened him? Is there something I don't know? |

Mark uploaded the first secret video to Patreon. It was quite simple and good (just he looking at older CGR videos and reminiscing about them), I think it may make up for the lack of the podcast. Let's see what he'll bring for the following months! I hope he hasn't forgotten his promise to do a video commenting on Ghost in the Shell (the classic one).
By the way, one thing someone asked and he sorta confirmed on Patreon is that with the new format he may have more time to review longer games - one of the first games on the new show is even Phantasy Star 2, a RPG, genre that Mark seldom talks about.

To my big surprise, it looks like Mark is back with the podcast again. Well, at least in some capacity.

Is that from this site? CGR Publishing PodcastI wonder if the publishing world is OK for him? He seems to really like the coloring books, so I'm guessing that's the cash cow for him. I know quite a few people who buy adult coloring books for a sense of relaxation. I think I may buy a few from him as Christmas gifts. I'm really digging the history books he has. |
