Charm. FF6 had a ton of it.
and speaking of Final Fantasy, and Square Enix...today I was looking through a scan of an old Japanese PC mag from 1984. It featured a game by Enix called Lolita Syndrome, where you torture lolis. WTF.

I've just started working on my game. It's the big one, when I really should work on a more basic project first. I should draft/plan that out before I start it.
The big one: after already drafting all the armours, skills and weapons, I've been fiddling with how to make characters jump without using script plug-ins. The program has it natively, but I want to add a timer where if you press OK ath the wrong time, you either come off too short or too long. Screw it, I'll just make some bridge puzzles.

centipede - Nice, mate, good luck on your project! Thanks! I've considered making a basic dungeon crawler first. One without shops, but enemies drop random items. And where you can spend "currency" to self heal MP or HP, or "identify" new weapons and spell scrolls.
I realised the project I started working on was too ambitious, but msot of the bits needed to make it happen are on paper.

There might be something in Mark Bussler's discography I could use. I wonder if he'll review the game if it has his music...
