Ok, this is something I haven't mentioned yet that REALLY pisses me off:
What this guy says here is absolutely 100% true. A lot of states have banned microtrucks & microcars from US roads in an attempt to keep people from importing them, especially conservative states like Texas. My own state is another such example. I was actually planning on buying a japenese microtruck until I realized that my state had already banned them from being street-legal years ago.
The oil industry has such a chokehold over american society that it's downright dystopian by this point. First they ban EVs, now they are banning all microcars. It kills me because microcars are the only segment of vehicles that I openly condone. I personally believe that all first world countries should adopt a microcar mandate, which would dictate that car engines be no bigger than 660 ccs. I also believe that all power should be taken away from the states and handed over to the US government.
The american automotive industry is fucked. The Biden administration really needs to stop neglect this issue. It needs to be reformed and overhauled! It's not fair to the planet and the people.
