I just binge-watched both seasons of Ushio to Tora, definitely worth a watch if you like older style supernatural shounen series.

I have always felt that Akira was a great gateway drug into the fantastical world of anime. Akira is pretty good, and it's visuals hold up extremely well, but the story is so weird. When I watched it, I felt that I would want to like it more than I did. |

To each his own, I suppose. To me, this is a great influence to Final Fantasy VII, and I love itfor that. I have always felt that Akira was a great gateway drug into the fantastical world of anime. Akira is pretty good, and it's visuals hold up extremely well, but the story is so weird. When I watched it, I felt that I would want to like it more than I did. |

I just noticed spidershinobi had a lot of great information on a lot of cool things, Lament Of Innocence, Ninja Gaiden, Samurai X, Sumerian mythology, all good stuff. |
