I haven't played the GBA version but it seems okay for the hardware it's on. I do own the DS and PSP versions however.
The DS version is a very glitchy, ugly mess of a game with sluggish controls and repetitive, tiny little levels, it also sounds pretty bad with a lot of audio compression. It does have custom character creation but that's about all it has to offer and it's far more restricted than you might think.
The PSP version on the other hand is like the main console versions, a pretty much flawless port and one of my favorites in the LEGO series and on PSP, an easy 5/5 and I have no major complaints, at least not as far as this port goes, any complains I have applies to the other console versions of the game and most LEGO games in general as well. It looks great, runs smoothly, controls are virtually identical to the console versions, the levels are big and varied, you get vehicles to use in the normal levels and there are vehicle specific levels to add variety, the audio is high quality and the cutscenes are all there in their wacky LEGO glory. It has custom character creation as well, but the same kind of restrictions are present, this is a common trait among LEGO games in general, which sadly makes it less fun than it could've been, but at least this version has a good game to use your custom characters in, unlike the DS version where you don't want to play as the original cast or your custom characters because it's not a good game to begin with.
PSP wins this one easy, the GBA version gets second place and DS comes in dead last, as it rightfully deserves with such a shoddy version of the game, it's an insult to LEGO, Star Wars and videogames in general.

I heard people say that the Star Wars themed Lego games are actually very good. It doesn't surprise me considering Star Wars is the one lincense that gets the absolute best treatment with consistency when it comes to video games. For this I would probably choose the PSP version. The Game Boy Advance's strength was in the 2D market.

As someone who owned Lego Star Wars 1, OT, and Complete Saga, I can safely say they don't have much replay value and the combat is just shallow single-button mashing. But they're aimed at kids and for that they're passable. I don't think they have any right to place on top ten lists of the best Star Wars games, though, even as honorable mentions.

The combat isn't the focus of the LEGO games though, it's just there to keep the action up so it doesn't get too dull and easy while completing all the puzzles and exploration for secrets and collectibles. And you do have a LOT of different ways to do battle in the LEGO games thanks to the huge rosters of characters they offer.
Unless it's a beat em' up or hack n' slash, the combat doesn't need to be very deep to be enjoyable, nor does it need to be the focus, and besides it's fun to just wail on enemies in the LEGO games with different characters using their different abilities, you have the normal attack and alt attacks of various different abilities depending on the character(s) at your disposal, like grabs, throws, lightsabers, blasters, jedi powers etc., so it's only really shallow and repetitive if you stick to the main attack and ignore all the other things you can do, then there are different enemies that can do different things as well, and bigger enemies and bosses, and vehicles with different weapons and abilities, and then there are there vehicle specific levels as well, some of which have actually been called some of the best vehicle levels ever in all Star Wars games by many reviewers and gamers alike.
The exploration and secrets/collectibles, to find using the different powers and abilities of the different characters you unlock, is obviously the bigger focus of the LEGO games, and with that they pretty much all have tons of replay value. Beating the main story part is at most half of the LEGO games, then going back to find secrets as you've unlocked free mode, where you get to pick other characters that can reach new places and interact with the levels in other ways than you could during the main story mode, makes all levels fun to revisit multiple times.
If that's not great replay value I don't know what is.
